Some of these answers are ridiculous. According to the Filipino embassy there are circa 11,500 Filipino nationals in Ireland, The majority of whom work in the health sector as nurses.

I live in the inner city of Dublin, and there are a good few filipinos living in my area (most of whom are women). My aunt works in St. James's Hospital, one of the main hospitals in Dublin and she has a lot of filipino friends whom are nurses there. When our economy was in boom, Mary Harney and a delegation of Irish government officials made an agreement with the filipino government to grant a certain amount of work visas to filipino health care professionals, before this there was little or no filipino community here.
