went to dublin a few years ago and have been told that the price has gone up a lot since then. am going again next week and am getting a bit worried about the price now :s

it all depends on where your drinking and at what time of the night.

If before 12.00am than its about €5.00 for a pint of Guinness, a bit more for beer, (I'd imagine Bulmers would be the same, I don't drink it), after midnight some bars, especially those in Temple bar will charge about €6.30 a pint. But if you way this up against the fact there is no cover charge then maybe it makes it easier to swallow (pardon the pun)

As for shorts, you need to remember the shorts sizes are bigger than the UK, and you also get a full baby bottle of your mixer, not a splash of some watered down crap, but its still nearly €7.50 for a vodka and orange juice

Sell your firstborn child ..... Pints are about five Euro, shorts are a lot more.

Big Larry
I went in august, and guinness was between €4.50 and €7 depending on the bar, average about €5.50 only had 2 vodka's the whole weekend it was €14 for a vodka and small bottle of coke, nearly feckin choked on it. that was a large vodka of course.
christine are you following me? her above,^ knows all about the booze in Dublin, she's the local alcoholic haha.

Go hop a wall!
Lets put it this way I'm irish and well yeah its like night time robbery your talking about 5-6 euro for a guiness and 5 for bulmers the vodka n orange at least 4.50

agooddub
There is no definitive answer to this, as all the pubs in the city charge their own inflated prices.
Expect to pay €5 + for a Guinness, €6 for draught Bulmer and maybe up to €7 for a pint bottle of Bulmer.
It's crazy prices and now with the £ sterling at parity in Dublin, expect those prices to be at the £ rate.
Vodka and Orange splash, €5 + as well.

momo
If you can't afford a mortgage you can't afford to drink here.
