This is something that really annoys me.

Depending on what network you go with & which plan or bundle you choose it can cost anything from 6cent to 15cent with in Ireland & anywhere from 15cent to 55 cent for international texts.

Where it gets me is if I want to text china most networks will only charge 5cent, same to some of the east European states.

Three (three.ie) is probably the cheapest but there coverage is Crap, Meteor (meteor.ie) is probably the best, good coverage & cheap calls & texts.

It varies from network to network.

Some networks here are as low as 3 cent per message, others 5 cent others 9 cent. There are many offers on texts in Ireland with Two major networks (meteor and Vodafone) offering free texts to eveyone on any network!! You must top up by €20 and then you have unlimited free texts for 30 Days at which point you must top up by another €20 for another 30 days. Saves LOADS of money cos you can do what you please with the €20 of credit, like call or use the internet.

3 Mobile offer a bundle of 700 text and 200 weekend minutes for only €6.93 a week. That is very good, their main selling point is there FANTASTIC internet though.

If you would like some more info email me.

Good Luck.

P.S. O2 are probably the most expensive, they are a no no.
