As you don't say what time of year you might be going, difficult to give a price. Varies according to the time of year.

Why don't you google flights from Nottingham to Ireland, and see how much they cost, then check out the cost of the train to the nearest ferryport and the cost of the ferry, and compare them?
If you really wanted to go, you'd do your own research.

Its about ten pounds one way depending on season. Summer is more expensive maybe twelve pounds. Ferry is cheapest of course
