1 - yep, no problems at all
2 - way too often. though mainly to do with loathing for inept unreliable dublin bus who refuse to put gps trackers in their buses as they obviously enjoy their tea in the mornings together, all leaving at the same time and hopscotching their way into town. there is no reason FIVE buses of the same number should turn up at the same time after having people waiting in the rain for three quarters of an hour. honestly, five.
3 - 10-15m
4 - either

Why When How
1) Yes
2) twice a year
3) 20 minutes
4) the back

Where I live we don't even have a "taxi" company - just Carn Cabs and they only have Hackneys.

1. Feel safe - yeah, until you asked and made me think there was some reason I shouldn't.

2. How often - I've used taxis/hackneys 4 times this year.
Dublin Ferry-Bus Station (missed the bus while trying to get change)
Belfast-Ferry terminal (was running late and was worried if I didn't that I'd miss the boat)
Garage-Home (missed the coal man and filled his boot with pre-filled sacks of coal from the garage)
Town-Home (coming back from holidays and the suitcase was far too heavy to carry a few miles).

3. Average journey time - few minutes

4. back or front - I think with taxis you don't usually have a choice. With hackneys, usually in the font.
