18 to drink but some clubs will only let you in if you're 21.

you have to be 18 ( 21 in the US is crazy), there is hundreds of great nightspots in Dublin, check out Temple Bar, theres plenty of bars there, Spirit on Middle Abbey Street is good, as is Club M, O Shea's Merchant and the Brazen Head on the quays are great nights out aswell.
