I'll be in Dublin in Jan. for 2 busy days - but I'll have the nights free for fun. What cool things can I do?

(Of course, this is all provided that I somehow manage to survive vacationing during the dead of winter, but the flights are so inexpensive that I can't pass it up! ;-) But anyway, since I'm hoping that I will, in fact, remain alive for my winter trip, what fun stuff can I do in Dublin during the evenings?

Do you maybe know of any Dublin bars that have cool bands play at night? That might be fun. (And it's the only thing I can think of, because where I currently live, that's the only thing there is to do! I'm looking very forward to January =)

Yeh plenty of pubs will have live music, if you purchase the Evening Herld newspaper in the afternoon, which is available everywhere, you will get a gig guide for the night, alternatively you can ramble into Temple Bar and there will be something going down, but ur best bet is the Evening Herald....

You could visit the casino, if that takes your interest. Enjoy.

Dublin city nice place and the people really friendly go to the famous temple bar in Dame st. in the city. or visit st. Stephen's Green a tourist attraction.in the city .the Ha' penny Bridge over the River Liffey.and have a nice time I am sure you will.

Unfortunately Dublin has lost a lot of its culture over the past few years as it has gone so cosmopolitan the best place to head would be temple bar. Its probably the most expensive part of the city but if your looking for a bit of tradition its the best place to go. I don't know how long your in Ireland for but if you have the time i would really recommend you try and get to the countryside that's were you'll find the real Ireland
