You need to have reasonably good English, for a start. Many foreigners work in both Cork and Dublin, as well as the other cities like Limerick, Kilkenny and Waterford, and the larger towns as well, such as Sligo.

Google the employment sites, there are plenty of possibilities via www.irishjobs.ie or www.nixers.com.

Everywhere in Ireland is expensive to live at the moment, but Dublin is that bit pricier, yes.

dublin is a lovely town but a dump according to some of my irish friends,as any capital, corc is ok-ish but many rough ones there too.my suggestion choose a vilage like kilorglin or gleinbeich, village life is better.they the only 2 I know but I am sure there are many many lovely little places...best of luck

there are loads of jobs to be had in dublin, its easily one of europes top employment centres at the moment, companies like google, microsoft, intel, ebay all have their european headquarters in dublin

living in dublin comes at a price though, accommodation is more expensive than anywhere else in the country as are things like alcohol
