Dublin would have many postal codes, depending on the address. here are a couple of examples of addresses there:
Mission Home Address:
40 Park View
Castleknock, Dublin 15
Ireland
Mailing Address:
The Willows, Finglas Road
Glasnevin, Dublin 11
Ireland |

There isn't a zip code as such. Dublin is split into different postal regions, for example my brother lives in Dublin 12, my sister in Dublin 6, but there isn't one code that covers all of Dublin. |

"In Ireland, only Dublin City has postal codes, and they are really postal districts. You will notice that all of Dublin City centre establishments are in "Dublin 1" or "Dublin 2", etc. Outside the city, it is simply County Dublin. The postal code system for Dublin is relatively simple. Odd numbers are addresses on the North side of the River Liffey. Even numbers are on the south side (except for parts of Dublin 8, which encompasses part of the Phoenix Park). Dublin 1 is the North City Centre. Dublin 2 is the South City Centre."
You can see a map of Dublin's Postal Codes at the site below: |

Everybody in America lives in some zip code. Everyone in the UK lives in some postal code. Germany has post codes, and so does France, although I do not know what they call them. But in Ireland, only Dublin has post codes, running from Dublin 1 to Dublin 24. (When people here want to talk about the arrogance of wealthy, snobbish liberals, they talk about Dublin 4, as in the Dublin 4 accent.) The rest of the country has none. The only time it bothers me is when some damned form insists on a post or zip code, when I usually just write in a bunch of zeros. |

There is no zip code for Ireland. We have postal codes from Dublin 1 to Dublin 24.
The lesson to learn from your assignment is that the US is not the world. People all over the world do things in different ways to those of the US and this difference is a good thing.
Tell your teacher that. |

Hi,
There are no Zipcodes here but the postcode are one letter "D" and numbers from 1 to 24.
The even numbers are south of the river Liffey, the odd numbers north.
I live in D15. |

Dublin uses district numbers instead of post codes. For example, I live in Dublin 2.
All the odd numbers are on the northside, and even numbers on the southside. Dublin 1 & 2 is the city centre. Looking at a map it looks like as the city grew, they added more numbers. So Dublin 18 is on the south side about 15km away from the city centre. |

We don’t use Zip codes in Ireland. We don’t have dense enough a population centre to need them.
Instead we break up our main area of Dense Population, Dublin and we call them Postal Codes for the Postal Service.
It’s a simple system of Even numbers south of the dividing River in the City (The Liffey) and Odd numbers north of our the river in our beloved city.
The postal Codes consist of the letter D followed by either an odd number or an even number, resulting in D4 for Donnybrook and D1 for the city centre, which go all the way up to D24.
Hopefully the report goes well for you. |

There are no zip codes in Ireland, only counties. Dublin is divided into areas or zones.

Dang, from some of the looking around I tried for you, it looks as though Ireland does not have a postal code. (They are not called zip codes in other countries) But I may have found a little information to help you. I have learned a few things worthy of interest. Good luck!! |
