I'm going to Ireland over spring break for nine days. How much spending money should I bring?

I'm 18, I live in Knoxville, TN, and I am going to to Ireland over spring break (also during st. patricks day). I am going a week from now with a small group from my highschool for nine days. I will be going to Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Cork, County Kerry, and Galway, each for about a couple days in duration. All of the meals and hotels are already payed for, but I was just wondering how much spending money I should bring with me? Also, should I bring cash with me and change it over there, or should I buy a visa gift card with the money already on it and use it as I go?

how long is a piece of string? i mean really; bring as much as you can; ireland is an expensive place to have fun. but anyway, enjoy your visit, stay safe

wow, it's difficult to say, since it depends on how much you will spend on drinks, souvenirs... Just to let u know, a pint (0'568 litres) usually costs between 4'30-6€. If you also plan to go into a nightclub, then the entrance fee is around 8-15€ in Dublin, but it depends on which nightclub u wanna go in. If you go on Friday to Club M in Dublin (great international and house music!!) entrance is free before 11pm.
In addition, you may need to take a taxi from city centre to where you stay. If you are like 4 people, it can be up to 4€ per person, although if you stay in city centre you won't have to pay that.

Also u have to bear in mind that the Euro is strongest than never before. yesterday, the exchange rate was 1€ = 1'50$ (or if you prefer it this way, 1$ = 0'66€). In addition, u gotta know Ireland is a really expensive country, and Dublin is one of the most expensive capitals in Europe nowadays.

U better go to your bank in the states and ask them how much are the charges for withdrawing money in Ireland. Maybe it's worth it, since the exchange rate they will apply is your bank's. but i would say you should bring for sure around 200€ (300$) , and then keep on withdrawing according to your needs.
I don't know how visa gift card works, and about changing it here, you can do it in the airport, in the departure area (from Arrivals, you just go up and it's near Aerlingus area)

HAVE FUN OVER HERE IN IRELAND!!!

The more money you bring the better time you'll have cause in all honesty Ireland will rob you blind... it is an expencive place to visit... HAVE FUN!

wow. I only live a few hours from knoxville,tn(Pars,TN). I would say it depends on how many souveneers to bring or whatevs! Have funnn!!!!!!! I so wish i could go there!!!

It is expensive, with the meals and hotels paid that a good bit out of the way.

A bottle of beer is arond 10 dollars.

A bottle of Diet Coke is around 5 dollars

Gas is almost 10 dollars a gallon

You can use a debit card to take money out of banks

Dont tip, no one expects or wants it.
