It is difficult to know what other people call cheap as everyones disposable income varies, having said that I have booked hotels in central Dublin for between £50 and £70 per night.I found these by just typing into a search engine Dublin Hotels.

hi the all ireland football final is on in dublin on 17th it is one of the very busy weekends of the year most will be booked now and not cheep

When ive stayed in Dublin ive used this website, its really good. The Mount herbert hotel in Ballsbridge and the Hotel ST George in parnell square are both quite basic but nice.

there is budget accommodatin in the heart of Dublin, all situated in Parnell square..there is one in particular called the @Charles Stewart which is meant to be pretty cheap, but look online for any deals...I have often heard of people staying in bed and breakfeasts.. which is cheaper than a hotel and have a great relaxed family atmosphere...there is one I know well in ballsbridge ( about 10 mins from the city centre) called 'Cedar Lodge'..I'm not sure about the prices , but it is a lovely place and close to all the major sights ..have a nice trip, wherever you stay!!

You would be best to get a hotel that charges by the room rather than the person.

Jury's Inn on Parnell Street have family rooms and you could also try the Ripley Court on Talbot Street.

There are also hostels, but with the large number of guest workers in Dublin, many of these are almost permanently full.

That's the weekend of the All-Ireland final - you might have more luck in a B&B in the suburbs.
