I'm travelling to Ireland; what do you suggest I see?

Cliffs of Mohr is a must!!! Giants Causeway, Ring of Kerry, Gap of Dunlow. Don't waste your time on a tour of the Guinness brewery. I found that if you ask local people what to see and do, they steer you away from all the touristy places and guide you to some of the most amazing things you never would have seen if you didn't ask. Yes, I know the above places I listed are touristy, but worth it.

Irish people in an irish pub. Talk to everyone, they will all have different brogues. (ways of speaking english some will be very prominent)

In 12 days you should be able to see a lot of Ireland. North and South. Just pick up a car and go. If you do not have a drivers license you can buy Tourist Travel Passes. There are various details at the link below;

In addition to sightseeing I would suggest you absorb the atmosphere of Ireland. The different regions have different paces of life and there truly are so many things to see and do.

Your best bet would be to go to the Irish Tourist board site, and start planning.

Well Dublin is full of interesting things and the Guinness Brewery is interesting seeing you are probably going to be drinking it during your visit. You'll spend some time int the Temple Bar Area and maybe go to Trinity College and see the Book of Kells.
The Cliffs of Moher and the Burren are on the other side of the island, so while you're on the west coast you may as well visit Galway and the Aran Islands.
Depending on where your departure point is, you can either go North at some stage to Belfast and Northern Ireland or South via the Dingle Peninsula, Cork and Waterford.

dif go to belfast its not fast paced like dublin. i went there and fell in love with it. theres alot to see. and dublin christs church and the dublin park theres alot there to see as well. i was in ireland for a month and wanna go back. be a local and talk to locals on what to see and do.

i saw on the food network that the guiness brewery in dublin has a restaurant that is supposed to be the 1# place to get a steak in the country. it's marinated and fried in guiness stout.

I just got back from a 9 day vacation in Ireland a month ago and loved it! I second the recommendation for the Cliffs of Moher - you have to see them to believe them! Giant's Causeway was tied with the Cliffs of Moher for my favorite places. The castles are very majestic - but be warned: we tried to see too many castles and they lost a little of their appeal after a while. For castles, I recommend Cahir Castle, the Rock of Cashel, Dunluce Castle, and Aughnanure Castle. Also if you have time and like a little bit of a tourist-type place, I recommend Bunratty Folk Park. Oh! And definately see Fota Wildlife Park if you have time!
