I am Irish citizen . Do i need a visa to travel to the UK?

I am living in the UK on an Irish passort if i return to Ireland on holiday will i need a visa to return to the UK

No, there is a common travel area between the UK & Ireland which is still in place regardless of EU regulation which means UK & Ireland citizens can move freely between both countries & settle in them as they wish.

British & Irish citizens have never needed visas to travel between the countries, until recently they just about had to produce ID when asked for it but security regulations have been tightened in recent years so if you travel by air they will expect to see photo ID of either a passport or driver's licence.

Would you mind if ask a question? Why would you think you needed a visa? I'm not being nosy but if you have anything else you need clarified while we're here

If you are an irish citizen you can travel anywhere within the EU without a visa...

Not at the minute. But the powers to be are drafting new laws to reintroduce border controls so in the furture you will.

No im irish and dont you know about a thing called the eu?You can travel freely between any eu country(go on holiday,live there and work there) without the need for visas etc
