I believe as both the UK and the Republic of Ireland are part of the European Union you can work there without a visa. You can actually work in any part of the European Union if you are a citizen of any member state.

In Dublin you can work without a visas if you hold a UK passport but be warned if your travel down to Cork (The Peoples Republic of Cork) you will need a visa.

No. The Anglo-Irish agreements allow the Irish to work in the UK and for the British to work in Ireland.
