As an Irishman I would like to apologise for the anti-British sentiment. These people are ignorant morons.
You should be entitled to a medical card if you only earn 700 a month. Check out this website:

Ignore those xenophobic assholes that wrote earlier. It will have nothing to do with your citizenship, but more with how much you are earning. Irish people have the same trouble getting one. Even though 700 a month is a relatively tiny amount it might still not be enough to entitle you to free health care. Go to your local health Service Executive office to see if you are entitled to a madical card. Persons with no income other than:
Old Age Non-Contributory Pension (maximum)
Deserted Wife's Allowance
Infectious Diseases (Maintenance) Allowance
Disability Allowance
One-Parent Family Payment (max.)
Widow's/Widower's (Non-Contributory) Pension (max)
Orphans (Non-Contributory) Pension (max.)
Blind Person's Pension (max.)
Supplementary Welfare Allowance
Unemployment Assistance
will be regarded as being eligible for a medical card. Hardship cases are dealt with individually on merit.
So, unless there is a good reason wwhy you can't earn more than you are earning, they probably won't give you one.
Even if you are not entitled to a medical card, if you need medical attention, you can go public (go to the hospitals), where you will be treated for a nominal fee. The only problem with this is that you might be put on a waiting list. Broken bones are fine and will be treated immediately.
Ps. If you are a student (which might explain your low earninggs), your college will provide free health care. Go to the student welfare office to find out. |

wow there is a lot of hate going on here from both the English and the Irish. Richard since we have free movement of people in Europe anyone in the EU is entitled to work and live HASSLE and NASTY COMMENT free in any EU member state. Grow up. |

I think you can qualify for a Medical Card that entitles you to free/cheap healthcare. Check with your local office of the health board. |

i agree with orla. 2 years ago i was earning 500 euro a week and i was only 20. what the hell are u doing that you are getting such crap wages?? go back to britian if u want free health care, stop trying to bum from our country |

Typical of Irish to make the Brits pay for health care when half their population lives in the Uk and sponges off us. I think that as an EU citizen you may be entitled to some healthcare which means the Brits are paying for you anyway cos the Irish take out of the EU fund about 20 times what they put in. |
