The population of sydney is well over 3 million, so I don't think you are alone. Open the door and get out there.

no, but i know a friend of a friend who's boyfriend is irish and he's in new zealand.

No you are not - go to the Kings Cross area and you will see a lot of British and Irish people drinking in the bars and pubs there (and probably visiting the brothels too I'd guess).
Anyway there are lots of tourists from Europe there and also loads of the people there are friendly. I met some wonderful people when I was in Sydney.
Go on the ghost tour - it is excellent!

John Scary
If you are by yourself you are alone

Layla
I doubt it loads of irish travel to Sydney, try some pubs near Bondi NSW

Well know to be honest there is Thousands of people live in Sydney. However I am Irish living in Ireland if that helps! If you are looking for Irish company why don't you find a catholic church. I imagine a few Irish people would go and maybe you could leave an ad up to find some company.

My cousin lives in a suburb of Sydney and he's from Dublin. He has lived there now for fifteen years and is married with two kids(he married an Australian girl).

If you're looking to connect with him, I can give you his address - I don't have his phone number but maybe you could look it up based on the address. You two might be able to meet up for a pint of some Guinness and Fosters to celebrate your dual heritage, and while you're at it would you do me a favour and ask your man why he hasn't written to me in so long.

I'm not happy with the way he's been acting the bollocks.

Head down to bondi junction and in no time you will feel like your in some parallel Irish universe, every 2nd person is Irish
