I am going to Ireland in Mid-April. What clothes for nightlife? I am 41. Club suggestions for my age group?

April can be tough weather wise. Bring layers!

Going out, dressy, same here, black dress, or I usually bring black pants and a gray or black long sleeved v neck cashmere sweaters.(you can buy amazing jewelry and scarves as souvenirs to tart them up ) Be picky about your footwear, neat, leather AND practical, (lower heels). Dublin streets can be tough to navigate in high heels-voice of experience here!

Jeans, sweaters, walking SHOES,lined rain coat, extra socks. Extra room in your suitcase, you can get some great woollies if you stay away from the tourist traps on Clare.

Clubs: Abby on Howth, Brazen Head in Town, not knowing if you are into trad it is hard to direct you where to go. Be sure to stay off of Sheriffs street though.

What you normally wear here in the states is acceptable there. Layers is in. Spring clothes for that season of the year. Going to a club? Most places there are pubs...its a little bit different from a club. But people go to pubs even during day time. They drink Guinness even during lunch. The great thing going to pubs is the homey, cozy ambiance. People are very friendly and will talk to you if you start a conversation.

Make sure you visit the Guinness factory, there's a bar in the building were you could try the drink and socialize as well with the guests.

The fashion in Dublin is probably just like anywhere else. I would suggest bringing quite dressy clothes as some clubs here do have strict dress codes.

You should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in when you usually go clubbing. There is a thriving nightclub scene in all the major towns where everything from dowdy to extremely revealing clothes can be seen. You will fit in no matter what you wear. Galway has many nightclubs that cater to all tastes in music and as it's a young city and very arty, the clothes are very similar to what you could expect to see in a London club! The main thing to do when you get here is to enjoy yourself, whatever that takes. Oh yes, DO bring a coat because April can be very showery here and it has been known to still get snow that late! Enjoy your visit...

In Dublin there are a few clubs, word of mouth when you get there will make it easiest to find them. if you do go to actual clubs, wear street shoes, not gym shoes. Some clubs won't let you in without the right shoes. Pub crawling is much better, and I would suggest going off the tourist track and find less trendy pubs. sometimes they are only a few doors away from each other. On Sundays, a group called the Brazen Husseys play at "The oldest pub in Dublin" I forgot the name of the Pub, but again, not hard to find. It is on many brochures, and it is not far from the Guiness factory.
