You should try one of the tour buses - they will bring to all the hot spots (Trinity College, Guinness Storehouse, Jameson Distillery, Kilmainham Jail...etc.). They are hop-on, hop-off and come around fairly regularly.

In Dublin the 'traditional' nights are all staged - however I second the recommendation for the Arlington. For a real traditional session you really need to head outside Dublin.

Lots of restaurants for Sunday lunch - one up around St Stephen's Green might be nice as the weather is supposed to be great so you could eat out doors. Or hop on a DART (train) and go to Howth or Dun Laoghaire - 30 minute journey - and have lunch al fresco by the sea.

Depends on what you like doing and what you're interested in. There are many museums and galleries, shopping is great, you can go on the DART train to the coastal towns of Howth, Dun Laoghaire or even as far as Bray. You can go on the hop on hop off bus around Dublin. This leaves Cathal Brugha St, off O'Connell St. You can visit the Guinness or Jameson Breweries, you can go to the Phoenix Park and visit the zoo. You should take a day trip to Glendalough and Powerscourt gardens in Wicklow. Kilmainham gaol in Dublin is worth visiting also. yeah they do always have trad music on in temlpe bar pub in temple bar.there's loads to do,just ask in the hotel your staying in and they will give you all the info you need

Hi, We went to Dublin last Monday just for the day, i have been before for a weekend, we got on the bus at the airport to go into Dublin ; Airlink bus 748 or 747 it cost 6 euros each. We were dropped off on O'Connell St. outside Tourist Information Go into the Post Office on O'Connell St it takes you back in time. Henry St. is fantastic for shopping. A hop on off all day tour bus is fantastic they take you to all the top tourist sites, Guinness Storehouse, Jamesons Factory, Phoenix Park. it costs around 15 euros. Flannigans is lovely for a meal it is on O'Connell St, as you look at the post office face on it is on the right nr. McDonald's. Have a great time i am sure you will love it. A Fantastic City.....

I would highly recommend the Arlington Hotel for sunday lunch and for a traditional Irish Night. It is on O'Connell Street (the main street in dublin, the river liffey flows through it).

Also you could see what shows are on at the gaitety theatre or in Vicar Street.

Finally defiantley make some time for shopping.

Try the National Museum-it's free, as well as other museums in Dublin. Go to Trinity college and have a look at the Book of Kells. Grafton street is always a great place to shop and people watch-many street performers.Also see the GPO- on O'Connell Street, notice the bullet holes from the British guns, there is artwork inside depicting the rebellion of 1916.There's a great place for Fish n Chips just up from the GPO(same side of the street) towards Grafton street .Yum!!

There is loads of things to do in Dublin you couldn't`t be going to a better place, go into st, Stephen's green loads of restaurants to go to and loads of pubs, any night in any pub in Dublin is an Irish night the crack is always good.

The National Gallery is worth seeing and it's free, apart from special exhibitions. The Chester Beatty Library in Dublin Castle is wonderful and there is also a good restaurant there called The Silk Road. The State Apartments in Dublin Castle are worth seeing. Check out Christchurch Cathedral and St. Patrick's Cathedral, which are within five minutes walk of each other. If you have good weather take the suburban DART train to Howth--you can walk right around the peninsula and there are awesome views--bring a camera. Guinness's brewery is worth a look, if you're into that kind of thing. I echo the recommendation to take one of the tour buses that you can hop on and off. Enjoy :-)
