You are only legally allowed to bring 200 cigarettes back.

Although part of Spain, the Canary Islands (inc. Tenerife) do not count as part of the EU for allowance purposes.

cat_n30
Within the E.U the current limit is 3000 each, outside the E.U the limit is 200

Lou lou
think it depends where your flying back into! but if its the uk i think the max limit 1 person can bring back is 400!

3200 is a lot of fags you really want to think about cutting down!! lol x

The problem with bringing back cigs from Tenerife is that it is a duty free island and therefore you can only bring back 200. Marlboro are priced at about €18 /€20 for 200.
However in mainland Spain they are about €31 for 200, but because you have paid the duty, you can bring back as many as you like, providing you can prove that they are for your own consumption.
The quantity of 3200 is a figure acceptable to customs when deciding if they are for personal use. Any more than that and you will have to convince them otherwise.

magidge
As many as will fit into your checked in luggage.
