I am having a horse transported across from Ireland. How soon after his arrival can i ride him? |
He is arriving in the morning and i was hoping to go for a gentle hack in the afternoon. is this ok, or would you recommend a longer rest period. He is coming over from Ireland, then has a three hour journey from Holyhead to my home. |

I would give him a bit more of a rest. he doesn't need to be quarantined I presume. Just visit him at the stable, but leave it til next day to go riding. |

Ooh I didn't realise we were in the presence of such wealthy folk. I reckon you should let him rest for at least the evening, just to be safe. Long journeys are tiring on people, so I imagine that the horse might be a bit shook up because he doesn't understand whats happening.
