Yes, Switzerland are very strict on this due to Ireland not being in the the Schengen agreement. No visa, no entry.

Puzzledirishgirl
I would think you do need one.

I'm sure you need a visa because Switzerland is not a Schengen country. To make sure check with the Consulate

hi you
i take it you have an Indian passport and this is what they will go on so if you need a visa from India you will need one your Irish visa will do you no good i use have a friend in the USA he could travail to French no problem but he needed a visa for Spain and him living in Ireland of 25 years did not count you apply to there embassy here for it if you need it just because you have an Irish does not mean your coming back to Ireland

Yes....you will need a visa to visit Swiss....the best way to do this is to apply at the Swiss embassy in Ireland....in general (if you have all the documents as per visa form) its easy to get tourist visa for few days. Visa form can be searched online.

If switzerland has a visa system ... then yes, because neither Ireland nor Switzerland are in the Schengen Agreement =(
But most countries in the EU, the Schengen, and the EEA, and the EFTA normally let Indian citizens in without a vis provided you intend to stay no more than 90 days!! =) Hope this helps, God Speed)!
