Contact The Irish Embassy at 17, Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7HR 0171 245 9033 they should be able sort something out. Ex pats living abroad can renew passports at there local embassy and I am sure your embassy can do something similar.

go to the irish embassy in london. I went back to ireland to get mine redone, but its the same getting it done in England.

Stidge
You'll have to contact the Irish embassy in London. I think you actually have to travel there to get it.

I would try the Embassy or Consulate. They should re-new your passport. The Embassy in the UK is in London.
