I am trying to find a good place to live in Ireland. Any suggestions?

I was looking for a small house somewhere near Dublin or Cork, but is there a better district to live in?

For a cheaper cost of living your better off staying outside of Dublin, because the prices here are madness. Cork would be a lot cheaper than Dublin, and any area outside of Cork city would be cheaper then living in the city. It all depends on how you want to live your life while here. If you want to be near to the capital city but not in the middle of it, try get a house in Meath, Wexford or Wicklow. You could get a house in Galway aswell and be near Galway City. If you want to live in a rural are, you'd be best off taking a house in Clare, Kerry, Donegal etc.

Screw a small house. Live in a castle. Sure they're a bit drafty and can be tough to maintain, but you'll be the envy of all your friends.

You can live in Maynooth, it is reasonably near Dublin, and the houses are not as expensive, very nice views.

No. ( can"t think of any to be honest )

Make sure you consider transport issue's.

As it will take many hour's to get into the Cities and back...etc.

Iwwould suggest you stay with cork the people are very friendly, the shops are great , it is definately cheaper then dublin try kinsale it is beautiful.

yeah get a place in clare and you can still get into galway easy, which is the best town in ireland

Hi Shane,
Dont live in Maynooth if you life depends on it. I would try to live near the city center Drumcondra and Rathmine in Dublin are bother very nice an you can easily walk to the city. I live in Dublin myself I know.
