Little known fact: There are Irish people in Ireland :o)

Well known fact: Irish people are the most stereotyped people on the planet (especially by Americans).

Ok,here's some facts that gets rid of those sterotypes:
-Ireland,are in fact, not the biggest alcohol consumers,Luxembourg are!
-The biggest vodka and spirit consumers are Russia.
-Ireland are the biggest TEA consumers actually! We drink on average,1184 cups per person, per year!
-Ireland are also NOT the biggest potato consumers,Belarus are...Ireland's not even in the top 10!
(all of the above are per capita,so size of Ireland is irrelevant)

We have lots of leprechauns in Ireland and plenty of matchmakers on every corner. When we greet people on the road we usually say "Top of the morning to you!" and we never go anywhere without a shillelagh in our hands.

ps the weather is shyte.

Tis wet all right. Always seems to rain when u really don't want it to rain - ie summer lol

We have the 4 seasons - apparently like

There's usually more rain on the west coast due to the atlantic.

We do get very cold winds from the north and from the east - russia like.

Summer - avegerage temp is like 20-26
Winter - 4-10

Doesn't snow at all during winter.

there's lots of fog

Wikipedia is good for this kinda stuff

We can drink alot more alcohol than many races before getting drunk.

There are NO leprechauns.

Americans think they're us.

The irish are sometimes called the "blacks" of europe. Im not really sure what that means but there you go....
