This must be too simple !

Take a holiday and don't send or receive texts.

The idea of a holiday is to get away from the routine and have a change.

You never know, you may find out that life does exist beyond the sim card.

Yes. I am from Ireland originally but now living in England. When I go home it costs 35p to send a text.

Texts are free to receive.

I'm with Vodafone & it costs me 29p a text if I use my UK phone in the Republic but you really need to check to with service provider, they may also have a special package you can use while you're in the Republic to make it cheaper to use your phone.

Yes it cost quite a lot depending on your mobile phone Operator.,

Seek permission from your Operator and inform them that you are going to Dublin.
