Are you driving or walking?

Walking you can take shortcuts.

From O'Connell Street (driving) :
Drive down the quays, round by Busaras and then round by Connolly Station at the end of Talbot Street. Drive past the North Star Hotel on your left. At the next set of pedestrian light, take a sharp left, almost driving back on to yourself. That is Foley Street.

Walking.
From the Spire, walk down Talbot Street in the direction of Connolly.
Take a left at the new Irish Independent offices. Take the next right.
That is Foley Street.

Foley Street is right beside Connolly Railway Station. It's a few metres north of the station. You can get to Connolly Station by Luas (tram) or DART (suburban rail). Or walk ten minutes eastwards from O'Connell Street in the city centre.

Hey
Visit www.dto.ie, and look for the walk/cycle planner - it's quite detailed and recognises most places in Dublin and will give you a map as well as estimated time, distance, and even the calories you're likely to burn walking!
