No such thing in Ireland. No volcanoes either. Hawaii is the place for that. Black sand is really grains of black volcanic glass. No volcanoes = no black beaches. |

Wait a while, and there will be plenty of black sand beaches.
The tanker oil slick is due to wash up on our coastline next week, as much black sand as you want!! |

To reiterate what the others have said, you need volcanoes to make black sand. But remember that Ireland once used to have volcanoes, they're just extinct. So if you could go back in time a few millenia... |
