The weather is always very unpredictable over here. May can be glorious, but it can just as easily be dreadful. I would expect temperatures to be between 8-15 degrees Celcius. And you can be sure that there will be rain!
Presuming you will already have paid for your accomodation, I would budget to spend a minimum of sixty euro a day. A mid-budget meal (with a glass of wine) will cost you around twenty euro per person. Admission to attractions (museums etc.) can be around five euro per person. So sixty euro would probably be enough on a tight budget. But if you're going to buy expensive souvenirs you could easily spend a lot more! |

I was there in May and it was wonderful. High about 80 in the afternoon and only rained on day out of 14. I was there under the old money system so my US dollars went further than yours will now, but I spent about $2000.00 However, I had to purchase another suitcase to bring back all the stuff I bought for myself and everyone in my large extended family. That also covered everything that wasn't included in the tour package. Would have included a tip for the guide but we found out he was collecting for stuff that was supposed to be paid for. No one said a word, just didn't tip him at the suggestion of the tour company. I think they planned to fire him over that and his drinking problem. It was a wonderful trip anyway and I can't wait to go again. I'm going to see Riverdance at 7 pm tonight. Then I'll really be itching to go back. Good Luck and God Bless |
