depends where you're from, you can always go by boat....

France to Ireland.
US to Europe..

But it's not the same budget...

There are lots of relaxation techniques that you can try
http://www.airodyssey.net/articles/fearflying.html
http://www.anxieties.com/flying-step4.php
http://www.fearofflyingtips.com/targeted-relaxation-techniques.html

Alternatively many people opt for hypnosis to help them overcome their fear.
Good luck!

why not get some Valium from your doctor to calm you down before you go on the plane

you are far more likely to be hit by a moving car then been in a plane crash

once the plane takes off it is like been in a car but only better because you can relax, have a bit to eat and drift off to sleep

the trip to Paris wouldn't take too long by plane and there are no traffic queues

there are courses available which help people get over there fear of flying,on these courses they let you go to the airport and sit in the plane and let you have a look around ,so you feel confident flying

good luck :)

you never said where you are from... but there are ferry services and cruises that sail to Ireland, you could always go by boat...
while everybody else wants to dope you up on valium or sleeping pills.. you can go the old fashioned way if you really don't want to fly here...

the odds of dying in a plane crash are roughly 250,000 to 1 or 50 times lower than the chances of dying in a car crash http://www.mythweb.com/teachers/win/odds.html

Plane crashes in western europe are very rare. its like 1 every 20 years or something.

Ben
you have more chance of a car wreck than a plane crash, but when you get over there, dont watch a marathon of Lost

Talk to your doctor about a mild sedative ~ perhaps he will prescribe it for you.

I'm afraid to fly also, but Valium has worked wonders.

Besides, whatever is supposed to happen will.

Good luck!
