a schengen visa wont work for Ireland but if u have one it help show costumes you return ticket and the Andres you r going to then you should be able to enter the country

all you need is a passport

For travel between the UK and Ireland you only need to show photgraphic id.If you are already legally in the UK,you will not need any other documents other than ID to travel over to Dublin.
