There has been a lot of migrant workers coming to Ireland in the last couple of years, which has been a bit of a culture shock for a country that had few foreign nationals living in the country. I would like to say there is no racism, but sadly I'm wrong. There has been quite a bit of racial tension. It's just like any other country, fears the change and kind of feels invaded and threatened. I don't mind the immigrants myself, I like cultural and racial diversity, but not everyone here is open minded and welcoming like me. |

Hi Gabriel, the vast majority of irish people are really nice, friendly and welcoming with people who are not from Ireland.
I f you ever get the chance to visit - please do. You will like it (but go June - September when the weather is OK).
And try the "porter". |

IRISHANS????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL!! we are irish!!! anyway.....mmmm......ok i dont know of many Germany Italy Brasil or Argentinan people...but their are ALOT of polish.....
to be honest at first it really annoyed me to see SOOO many coming over here....but then i grew up and got mature about it....
i went out to poland with dad in December and i can TOTALLY see why they come here.....besides in the touristy areas they live in very bad conditions and earn little....i feel sorry for them so i dont mind anymore...and also the fact that a few yrs back us irish we had to go to the usa and look for jobs then so really we cant really say much about it...but alot of irish have not realised this and they are not taking to the polish very well...dont get me wrong some people are but other's ...no....
i mean sometimes it still does annoy me from the fact that if you stop to ask for directions its always polish people that seem to be there!!!! thats just a coincidence!!! anyway just to let you know i am a 17 yr old irish girl finally accepting immigrants!! (well a bit more than i used to!!!!) |

There is a huge Brazilian community in Ireland already and now Festivals for Brazilians have started on a yearly basis. I think the biggest Brazilian festival is in County Galway. |
