As an American living in Ireland, I can say that I SERIOUSLY miss the following:

Lifesavers
Smarties (american kind, not the chocolate irish kind)
Peanut Butter Cups
Root Beer
SweetTarts
Nerds
Dove Chocolate
Any hershey's product, like kisses
Chocolate Chips (they don't have them here)

There are many more offbrand types candies that they don't have here, but these are the things I always ask my relatives to bring when they visit. Also, if you have room, send a can of pumpkin so they can make pie on Thanksgiving... I amaze all our Irish friends every year since this culture has never even heard of that before... =)

Too bad your friends are not in Australia. They don't have graham crackers. We wanted to make s'mores and couldn't. Graham crackers would be ideal...
