I presume you mean going back from the UK? Then I doubt if you do. After all Northern Ireland is a part of the UK, the same jurisdiction. |

You should not need a passport if traveling to Northern Ireland on a Ferry or even if traveling by road from the Republic. It is advisable to have some kind of picture ID but you are not required to have a passport, even though I see people using them all the time when flying between London and Dublin. |

It depends on which company you are travel ling with. You do need a form of id either a passport, driving, license or citizens card.
