hi man,the wife is irish she sends me news she gets from her home as im away on a job overseas myself.man i hate to tell ya but ireland is in dire straights right now,thousands of people are seeking help to pay their mortgages as they are in negative equity,they now owe more than their homes are worth,and hundreds of people are loosing their jobs right now.and as for FAS.man the folks over there just read in the press that the bosses at FAS have squandered millions on holidays,golf games,shopping trips for their wifes etc its a national scandal ,its all over the news in ireland today,look it up man,i love ireland and the folks but man, i would not go looking for a job there anytime soon if i was you.good luck man.seriosly look up the state of the irish economy,its in big trouble,i kid you not.(ok,i got a thumbs down for telling the truth about the economic crises in ireland.ok genius, im deleting my own answer if telling the truth is considered wrong,the facts are in the public domain ,whoever gave the thumbs down is not up to date on the facts.tellin the truth on here is often a total waste,im gone!cioa baby.) |

Here are some useful websites;
www.fas.ie
www.monster.ie
www.recruitireland.ie
www.loadzajobs.ie
Hope these help! If they don't, try jobs in Northern Ireland. |

Unless you have particular skills which are in demand I would think seriously about this, all the talk here at the moment is about businesses closing down, redundancies, major restructuring (cutting jobs) in both the civil service and the private sector.
The Irish government unlike the US (new) and British Leaders are cutting spending, putting up taxes and it is looking pretty bleak here. Unemployment has risen to the level it was in 2000 (5%) and is expected to rise to 8% by the end of this year, even though many are leaving the country to look for work elsewhere.
Most of the small business owners like myself are wondering if we will even be able to survive next year, the small business association have said reports from businesses are saying orders are down to 20% of what they were this time last year.
So maybe the grass is not greener in this case even in the emerald isle. |

I would try Ireland, since everywhere else is going to be a hell of a commute. |

Try www.recruitireland.ie, www.fas.ie, and there will probably be other links.
You could also google 'employment agency+Ireland' and see what you come up with.
However, you should realise that unless you have a particular skill, it is very difficult for a non-EU national to work in Ireland, and very few companies are taking on new staff at the moment. |
