IRISH nct??
the aerial on my car got eaten by a car wash... do i need to get a new one to pass my nct?? its in 2 weeks..
I don't think it will affect the results, like I think they are looking for safety on the roads. A fella from my job, said he tore a gash in his car door, a day before his NCT, and it passed.
My car failed for water on the license plate!!!! The reasoning was it could distort the number.

yes you do everything must be perfect OK they can fail you on the silliest of things

Aerial not on the test list

no
but no doubt they WILL find something else wrong
good luck

It won't fail you unless the broken stub is sharp in which case they will fail you

Phone the NCT Head office in City West Dublin and explain it to them and they will tell you if it matters or not or get a NCT pretest done on your car and speak to the mechanic about your aerial
kt
dont think it will matter but get a fake bee sting one that sticks that would tide you over the test.

I don't know what an NCT is but if its a road worth test like the UK MOT then no the car aerial won't affect this. I don't think the radio effect the drivability of the car.
