I had a blast but who wants to ever leave where they vacation? I have family there so we would just sit around in my cousin's restaurant/pub and live the life. But I love my city (San Francisco.) I'll stick to visiting. Great times though.

I've thought of moving for a bit - but forever...probably not. What you see on a visit as a tourist is not a true view; practical considerations come into play. Historically, the job market and economy in Ireland is a bit shaky, and not very self-reliant. No matter where I live, money coming in is a must!

Lovely place though, great people for the most part. If one wanted to move - can' think of a better place.

Yes.My husband(boyfriend at the time)took me to Ireland to meet his Mam,Da and all the rest of his family.
We were only suppose to stay for 6 weeks, but I fell in the love the place and ended up staying 14 years.
At the moment we are all living in Australia, but my husband and my 2 oldest children want to go back home,so it's more than likely that we will all be living there again by late next year.(and I can't wait).

Ireland is the closest place to my home. I live in Middle Tennessee and the southern side of County Dublin is just like home in landscape. The people are very much like the Southerners here and I loved every minute of it.

I did not go on "vacation" to Ireland. I went for a month and stayed with an Irishman. I became part of his huge family and really experienced Ireland for what it was and not as a visitor.

After doing all sorts of things and seeing all parts of the country, I can proudly say that I love Ireland 100%. I love it so much that I have applied to go back to vet school in Dublin so that I can live there for five years. After that time, maybe I will stay and maybe I will come back to the States. I will miss my family but they are all looking forward to visiting me there.

I did visit the UK too and did not like it. It was completely different that Ireland. I have travelled all over the world and this is the first time that I have said that I would move somewhere (and it is not because of the Irish guy either). Ireland is really open to people coming there, the economy is good, and they really help newcomers to the country from what I have already experienced with dealing with the government.

im born and reared here but i really do think its the best place in the world.

I live here, so I didn't really get a choice in that. But I don't plan on leaving any time soon - I love it. I know everyone here complains about it, but that's cos Irish people love complaining. I adore Ireland.

Ireland was a lot of fun. We mostly toured the country, but did visit Dublin too.

It's nice to visit, the people are friendly, food is actually excellent, but forever??? hmm....
