Big Feet
Put in zeroes!!! Two, three, four, or five!!! (00000)

That usually does the trick for me.

This is so annoying! I live in Co. Dublin so find it impossible especially if using a credit card.
I usually put in 00000 or sometimes put in Co. Dublin a second time.

You have to be sure that whatever you put in doesn't mess up your real address.

There is no easy answer.

Voice of Reason
I usually put in a full stop.

If it doesn't take that I put IE

Orla C
Just put in 4 or 6 zeros and you won't have any problems.

hey louise, i had the same problem 2 days ago and dont bet on getting any decent answers because i still havent got a solution to it yet, u cant make one up because it keeps saying its wrong and also when u put in yahoo ireland it still asks for one, i am from dublin and only dublin has postal codes and it doesnt even give u the option of picking dublin, i was setting it up for my sister so if u do get a solution will u email me it thanks

Robort King
i put in my town name always works

Ian M
I use a dummy code

ZZ99 9ZZ works just great in UK, may also work in Eire.

You could also try filling the box with spaces. A space is a valid character in ASCII so the computer may accept. Doesn't always work but worth a try.

I had the same problem setting up an account for my dad. I can't remember what I used setting up my own with Yahoo, but this time around a full stop as the post code worked.

chrissytimebuds
make one up

where it says postcode just put in 00000 (five zeros), I live in Ireland too, for all my online accounts I did that. and even ones that I brought something from, it gets to me so I know its ok to use the 00000.
