hi you
if your looking for a good hostel in cork city the one you should go to is "an oige" hostel it is part of the Irish youth hostels and is the best in cork city it is about 5 to 10 min walk from the city which make it ideal for hitting town they may be a few euro more then the one your planning on but it is nicer and cleaner you can get a full list of all there hostels and contact number from the Web site "anoige/.ie" there cork one is on the Western road cork

Ah memories!! I used to go for a drink in Bru as it used to be my local. Had some good night in there. It's a hostel, bar and internet cafe run by three new zealand guys, so there are all kinds of people there. I don't know what the hostel is like, but the bar is nice and they have lock downs at the weekend.
