Important living personality probably Mary Robinson former President she's done loads and its well documented.
More lively you could go for former Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Berite Ahern who got away with loads.
You could talk about Michael Collins who was one of the most important men in modern Irish history as he was involved in our war of independence.
Oscar Wilde who was an Irish playwright, said to be one of the wittiest people to have ever lived. |

Oh, where to start? Do you want a contemporary or one from the past?

There are tons you could do, but honestly a lot of them are pretty boring. If I were doing something like this I'd go for Oscar Wilde or Phil Lynott.

It depends on your own interests; Ireland doesn't really have many famous personalities. There is of course Bono, you could cover both the U2 aspect and his charitable contributions. If you delve a bit into the past you could talk about someone from the 1916 Risisg or such..maybe Michael Collins. (though kind of boring!) Liam Neeson? Pierce Brosnan? Westlife? Good luck!!!! |
