You can only legally bring a .750 mL back duty free. So even if you get a fifth, and don't declare it, you may get your bag searched anyway, in which case they'll tax your booze and take it from you. And depending on the state, you may get arrested. My advice is to Fed Ex it to yourself. 100% safe and effective every time.

If you're in Ireland, try to smuggle it in by taking it out of the bottle, and putting it in your stomach. I can help.

Mr. Goodkat
why not just buy some here. I can go to the store and get alcohol that has been imported from Ireland. Why would I want to risk going to a federal prison for smuggling?

Yourself?
No, You cannot.
If you wanna risk the chance of being caught a slapped with multiple felony counts.. Go ahead and try.
I wouldn't recommend it though.

Orla C
You'll be able to buy it in the duty free at the airport on your way back, don't try to bring any liquids onto the plane with you unless you buy them in the duty free.

You can buy alcohol in off-licences in Ireland, but don't be too horrified at the prices.
