Is it fair that Irish civil servants don't contribute anything to their pensions AND pay reduced PRSI? |
Apparently if they were made to pay into their pension schemes the way that private sector workers have to, Euro 1.5 billion could be saved. That's a lot of hospital beds.

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band |
In Ireland, is there one law for the rich and another law for the poor? |
A liar, sorry, lawyer who ran off with 80 million quid hasn't been seen for dust and is probably sunning himself on the beaches of Rio as we speak. Rodge once had a run-in with the Guards involving a sheep. He was banged up in double-quick time.
Surely there's one law for the rich and another law for the poor? |

In Ireland and everywhere else,
Doesnt this,
"All citizens shall, as human persons, be held equal before the law.
This shall not be held to mean that the State shall not in its enactments have due regard to differences of capacity, physical and moral, and of social function." - Article 40 of the Constitution of Ireland
Seem like another way of saying,
"All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others" - Animal Farm |

As the constitution of ireland article 40 says "all citizens shall, as human persons, be held equal before the law.
this shall not be held to mean that the state shall not in its enactments have due regard to differences of capacity, physical and moral, and of social function.
so what they really mean is if the state thinks your better than someone who works in a shop e.g a lawyer in this instance then your dealt with a slap on the wrist but if it were me i'd be locked away for life
so we're all equal, except the rich are better than us all
hey,that's ireland for ya |

No just one rule for bishops and one rule for the rest, Have you ever seen a bishop in jail? |
|

Transitional Species
 |
It's all covered by Article 40 of the Constitution of Ireland
All citizens shall, as human persons, be held equal before the law.
This shall not be held to mean that the State shall not in its enactments have due regard to differences of capacity, physical and moral, and of social function.
You're equal unless the State decidedes otherwise, and the rich can throw a very good social function! |

I'd have to agree dude. I live in Northern Ireland and last time I visited across the border I was beaten badly by the guards for being working class scum. I was told not to return until I had enough money to buy a Mercedes and talk like royalty. |
