yeah like the person above, ulster american folk park, its brilliant place to go to. silent valley and the Spalga Dam in the mourne mountains in couty down is another good place to go. |

I live in Derry City and there are loads of interesting things in this area. Although it is in Northern Ireland , we are on the border to Donegal, which is such a beautiful part of the country. You have Inishowen 100, where there are 100 placesthat are very picturesque, Malin head - the most northern point in Ireland, and the cliffs of Glencolumbcille, have to be seen to be believed. The other answers like Giants Causeway and Ulster American folk park are al hugely popular too. I would Say Derry would be a great 'base' if you wanted to see all of this!!
Also, Muff is on the Derry-Donegal border too lol |

Marble Arch Caves in County Fermanagh are amazing.
Cultra in County Down is great. (old cottages)
The Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh is unmissable.
Of course, there is always the giants causeway.
The beauty about the north is the fact that no where is too far from anywhere else (if that makes sense lol). So travel around and enjoy!
(oh, btw the Muff bit is true - I live near there. But seriously, there is no diving school there!) It's just a wee village. |
