dont worry - there isnt anything too scary here bug wise, cos the weather isnt warm enough for them. No cockroaches, no deadly spiders...there is midges which bite and cause itchiness, but theyre not like huge mosquito type things...theyre just little annoying things. Even if they do bite, you dont feel it and you wont notice until the itchiness.
If you are american, then you already have worse bugs:) |

bugs?
I've lived here all my life, trust me, there are no strange bugs here.
Your mom should be more concerned about the weather. Bring an umbrella! |
|

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
|
Sher there's so many bugs around the place that we all have mosquito nets covering our beds.
We hate the 2 foot cockroaches the most. They're fierce trouble altogether especially when you have the DTs. |

gaspipe

spiders-not dangerous
bees,wasps-only dangerous if ur allergic
moths
wood lice
centipeads
beetles
flys
catapilers
thats all i can think of? none are dangerous at all unless you have an allergy to a bite or sting? |

Did you not hear st. Patrick banished all the snakes!! thers no lizards, poisionus bugs or anything!! Scariest thing we have are probably a spider(no lethal ones) Most harmless wildlife in the world! |

No bugs to be scared about, but the midges can be a bit of a nuisance in warm damp weather, especially around trees and bushes. |

There are no really unpleasant bugs in Ireland, just the usual ones found in this part of the world.
Midges and mosquitoes can occasionally be a nuisance in the summer but no more than that, an ordinary insect repellent is all you need.
The very worst that can happen is to be stung by a wasp, bee or hornet, while painful, none of these are dangerous unless you have an allergic reaction. |

Bugs?
Well there is the dreaded 'Wasp', and the deadly 'Bumblebee', ohh and we can't forget the infamous 'Earthworm'
Seriously - Watch your back
You think Australia's deadly? You ain't seen JACK compared to the hell which is the wildlife of County Cavan.
Beware.
lmao |

only two dodgy types of bug in Ireland.
the ones that MI5 and MI6 were good enough to instal in our governmental offices and of course MRSA, but that you only get if you are unfortunate enough to get sick and have to spend time in hospital.
tell your mum I said "get on over here and enjoy the craic with us. its our time of year again and we're all up for a good shindig. Yeehaw!!" |

There's nothing particularly unpleasant in in Ireland. There may be "Cleggs" (mosquito's) outdoors in more rural areas, but they are harmless (there's no malaria) and can be detered by insect repellent. The same can be said of Wasps and Bees, and are generally only seen in small numbers and unless you have an alergy to stings and bites are harmless. |
