hiya pet, can u elaborate on exactly where ur going while here or are u trying to do as much as ye can in the time ur here?
if your in kerry visit dingle, or An Daingean as its changed its
name to , then onto the ring of kerry, some stunning scenary in both places, plus in dingle u get to visit fungi the only dolphin in ireland!
then go to kinsale in cork, for the trad irish pubs and the food..
you could prob try bunratty castle on the clare limerick border and then maybe king johns castle in limerick city, in clare u have the burren and the olde irish village of cragannaoun, in tipperary u have holycross abbey, there is a castle in cahir and cashel but save your money!
loads to do in dublin apart from the museums and the shopping..if ur going north try donegal the scenary is stunning, id recommend driving from clare, maybe try lahinch, doolin and liscannor for the beaches along the way, head into galway, youll have a blast there, and then up into mayo and head into donegal, the drive is about 4-5 hrs long but babe the scenary is breathtaking... wherever u go i hope u receive the best of irish hospitality, enjoy !

Dingle hasn't changed its name - it was always called An Daingean!

Antrim Coast Road v spectacular, An Creagain Stone Circles, Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Cork, Kerry, Mourne Mountains, Enniskillen, the canals through Leitrim....sooooooooooo much!

Loads to see, but make sure you take the time to go up to Giants Causeway. Sometimes its a bit off the route but go anyway. It's very cool.

Also go to Co.Kerry. It's lovely! Very organized and affordable sightseeing there too so you can see it all without taking up a lot of time or money. (Just make sure you go to The Laurels for a bite to eat. Ann there makes the best brown bread!)

It depend what you're looking for but just don't make the mistake of trying to go all over in the short period of time. Ireland may look small on a map but if you try to see everything you won't leave yourself time to just enjoy it! In the North the Giants Causeway is beautiful on a good day as is the Antrim Coast. Belfast is good to visit but for a real Irish city feel i'd recommend Dublin. If you're travelling you're likely to be staying in different B&B's or hostels and the people who work there are the best source of information you have available. They are likely to point out places to you that the guidebooks left out as well as telling you the best pubs and restaurants.

So many wonderful places to see. I am from Canada and am planning my 3 rd trip. The other times I have been 14 days each, this time 18 days. I still have not seen all that I want to see.

For such a little country, there is so much to do and see. And the people are wonderful. But the can not miss list is as follows: Dingle, The Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, Connemarra, Dublin City, Killarney and its lakes. If you get all of that done properly, I will be surprised. You might as well start planing Ireland trip#2, as I am sure you will want to return.

the usual touristy bits in the North would be Giants Causeway on Antrim Coast., Marble Arch Caves Enniskillen, Belfast is a city with a huge history which is still very evident and the tours are very interesting.
in the South, Bunglas Cliffs in Teelin near Glencolmkille in Donegal, (highest sea cliffs in europe) absolutely amazing.
Glenveigh national Park in Donegal is great too.

The Burren in county Clare is a vast expanse of limestone rock which is like another planet. the entire west coast is very rugged and beautiful and is were youd get the 'typical irish' environment that the rest of the world sees in tourist brochures etc.

Dublin is an amazing city for atmosphere, in county meath there are the ancient sites of Newgrange, Tara and Knowth

So many gorgeous places here, look up lonelyplanet or any guidebook for ideas. Just posting though to really make the point that driving times over here are so different to a lot of other countries. If you're around the Ring of Kerry, West Cork or lots of other scenic places you mightn't be getting above 30 miles an hour! There are lots of narrow windy roads. You'll find dual carriageways and motorways between cities and some of the larger towns, but you really need to take the extra driving time into account. Enjoy your holiday!

Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Bunratty Castle, Dingle Peninsula, Glendalough, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, Giant's Causeway, Galway (Claddagh region especially!), Baltimore (southernmost point in Ireland)...wow, there's lots more to see EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

Guinness Storehouse (Brewery), the bar at the end of the tour is has a breathtaking view of Dublin and is totally worth every penny.
