Ireland - What would be the best cities and places to visit there?

Okay, so I have already asked a question about Ireland, but I am obsessed with planning a trip there and I want to gather all the details I can. I have done a lot of research on the Internet, but want an actual person's opinion.

I'm from Ireland and have travelled around it quite a lot. Dublin of course, the capital is a must. I wouldn't stick to cities though...there is so much more to see of the countryside.
Kinsale in Kerry is fab, quite a trendy little fishing village with lots of top-class seafood restaurants...its very "in" right now! Doolin in Clare is also a must, its only a tiny village, but great atmosphere, famous for traditional irish music, and lots to see and do around it....lisdoonvarna is nearby, and you must take a trip around the burren and the cliffs of moher, I don't think there is anywhere like it in the world!! Galway is a great city, during the galway races in August its like a big street party...great craic! Belfast is also a great place for clubs and pubs...and of course shopping....lots of history too.

"Ring of Kerry" and Connemara. Both on the west coast. Fantastic (if it's not raining)

To enjoy Ireland, well they way i enjoyed it, you need to just take it as it comes, this might not be the answer you're looking for but, I studied abroad in Limerick, and i was so happy there, even though the only other place i went to was Dublin, i still enjoyed it sooo much! you dont even have to see the whole country to love it to death!

I moved to West Cork from the UK, because me and my family love it here. It's very cosmopolitan, a bit hippy, but most of all amazingly beautiful. The beaches are incredible, up there with the best of them. So try Clonakilty, Skibberreen, and Baltimore.

I just got back from England and Ireland. In Ireland, Dublin is the coolest city, in fact, my four days there were the best--temple bar, national museum, liffey river, trinity college (book of kells), the millenuium spire, the GPO (general post office) with bullet holes still there fromt he 1916 rebellion, the memorial of the Irish famine, etc. Also, go to Newgrange, older than stonehenge and way cooler, you can go inside, absoultely amazing.

just north of cork is blarney, because you have to visit the blarney castle and kiss the blarney stone

killarney--the national park there is breathtaking--go to the Dingle Peninsula--beautiful mountain countryside with never ending green grazing land, the ocean, prehistoric dry stone buildings and walls, beautiful cliffs, old churchs, etc.

galway--like berkeley, CA artsy, nightlife, music, restaurants, cafes, guinness

south of galway, yet north of shannon, halfway in between about, on altantic coast, the CLIFFS OF MOHER a must see
