Ireland what happened 1922-32)?

Ireland what happened (1922-32)?

After centuries of being controlled by the British, Ireland eventually regained control and we formed our own government. What good things and bad things did this new Irish government do to help the now free Ireland?? What contribution did they give to help its people?? (1922-32)

The following is for the wise ***’s that leave stupid answers ïŠ

NB:
I’m not a student
I’m 32 not a teenager
I don’t go to college
I’m not looking for exam answers
I AM Irish.
I’m just interested in what other people think on this question.
ITS NOT EFFIN HOMEWORK and besides I could be Muslim and not drink, I may be in prison and can’t get out or perhaps I’m an Alien trying to learn about your planet and from the answers I have had so far id just better turn my invasion fleet and go home.

I have a 6month old baby and I’m watching over her while my wife is at work so going out is not happing. Also some people like to read the internet.

There was an election, in which the parties supporting the treaty won more than twice as many votes as the parties which didn't. The anti-treaty supporters declared a moral right to make everybody else in Ireland do what they wanted, and started a civil war. They burned down half the country and set about ethnic cleansing. They also started assassinating the elected politicians, so the Dublin government tried executing a few prisoners every time this happened, to put the other side off the tactic. Surprisingly, this worked very well. The anti-treaty side accepted they had lost, (also, by this time a lot of them were excommunicated, as the catholic church supported the government side).
With most of their fighters in prison and a lot of them dead and gone to hell as a result of dying in a state of sin without the last rites, they were in a sorry state. So they pretended to stop shooting at people and formed the Fianna Fail, which got elected in 1932 just in time to support Hitler.

Ok short answer: the civil war ended, the name was changed to just Ireland, the country was divided in to two separate states (north and south), Eamon de Valera took power and as a result the population decreased unemployment grew. divorce, contraception, abortion, pornography were all banned as well as the censorship of a lot of books and films. all the money that England pumped into the country to keep the infrastructure in place disappeared.

Basically we were pushed back top the dark ages which we are still trying to get out of. And it would be easier to get out of if people like you were to read a bit of world history instead of science fiction!!!

The population of the island is slightly over 6 million (2007), with 4.4 million in the Republic of Ireland (1.7 million in Greater Dublin) and an estimated 1.75 million in Northern Ireland (800,000 in Greater Belfast). This is a significant increase from a modern historical low in the 1960s, but still much lower than the peak population of over 8 million in the early 19th century, prior to the Great Hunger (1840s famine).

You have in other posts said that you are a college student. So you are a student, aren't you?

This is maybe the seventh question from you about Ireland 1922-32.

What is your problem? Do your own homework. You obviously have access to internet. Start with www.google.com

Edit: Why you just can't admit that this is a homework question from college is amazing. So you have quit college, or was it a mistake to write that you are a college student in your other posts. You know, we can see your older post? But instead you give me a thumbs down. Stop being a loser and be honest.
