Why do you want to perpetuate the stereotype that all Irishmen are drunkards? Stereotypes are so offensive! This doesn't sound like an honor but a true insult.

Wouldn't this be a real way to honor him?

Here's some other good phrases:

PRONOUNCED: knee keart guh kurr leh kay-leh
MEANING: There is no strength without unity

PHRASE: Coimhead fearg fhear na foighde
PRONOUNCED: koe-vade varrig farr nah foe-ih-geh
MEANING: Beware the anger of a patient man

PHRASE: Slainte agus tainte!
PRONOUNCED: slawn-che oggus tinn-che
MEANING: Health and Wealth!

PHRASE: Eireann go Bragh !
PRONOUNCED: air-inn go braw

PHRASE: Beagan agus a ra go maith
