Are you asking for help with getting your accent back? Just go visit Ireland. Your accent will come back quickly.

It depends if you are under about 12 or 13 when you move away you will never get it back and will be able to lose it, i had a strong dublin accent when i was 10 then moved to canada, i lost it within a year and even though i go to ireland every summer i never got it back, i'm 25 now

Im sure you still have a bit of the accent....it would only take a week back home and it will be strong again!

You should listen to podcasts. You can get BBC Radio Ulster podcasts and RTE podcasts. Liveline on RTE Radio One is and example of a good podcast. If you don't want to download them, you can listen online. Also, you can watch Irish TV online. You can get UTV news and RTE as well. Try watching Irish films as well.

Your accent changes according to where you live - you pick up on the way locals talk. You probably still sound Irish to those around you. When back in your hometown, your accent will come back stronger. It's true of any accent.

Guess you did not have a really strong accent in the first place if you lost it in 4 years.

Why do you care that much anyway?

I grew up in the UK and the US. In the US people have commented on how I might sound proper in a way. In the UK the comment is that I sound "American".

I am who I am and the way I speak does not define me as a person.
