Talk to people from the Countryside in Ireland...they have a true Irish Accent!! The sound like "Boggers!" .....like me!!

(A bogger is an Irish slang term that refers to people not from Dublin.)

watch DVDs of genuine irish movies or listen to people like andrea corr, she has a nice irish accent. whatever you do, don't say things like Oirish, or top of the morning to ya! irish people don't say that. Ever! most american actors cant to irish accents, so try and copy real irish actors

Eammon
You have to spend alot of time in Ireland, and try to copy what everyone says. Or, the quicker altervative, say Thirty Three like "Turty Tree" and your half way there.

Leaine Ni Loingsigh
Come to Mayo- we have an accent that could cut turf!
If you can, listen to Radio na nGaeltachta or watch TG4. They are Irish speaking channels- they best way to hear a true Irish accent is to listen to people speak the Irish language. Nothing beats a strong Connemara accent!
