Is Dublin the new Venice?

We were thinking of getting a gondola so we could sail people up and down the M50.………..

Those floods were near me, but thankfully my home was grand. (Dublin west) But I was stuck in on Saturday night, I couldn't even get out to buy an extra bottle of wine to dull the attack on my senses called 'Failte Towers' (jaysus)

Earlier in the day my sister had to be rescued after her car got water logged and siezed up on the N4. She waited 2 hours to be towed home. ahhh- and as for the dog......

Sounds like a good idea, I'm thinking of trading the car in for a canoe and maybe looking to move to an ark.

Smells like Venice

Yeah, great idea that! The motorway behind my house (Santry bypass) was flooded, so i'll go out and make a dugout canoe.

If you say so...
Might be quicker than driving :-)

Saturday was actually very nice... I felt just like home :-) Venice? No, looked more like January summer storms in my native Rio de Janeiro. This is the big difference between here and Rio: there, when it rains, it rains a LOT!!! As in... 5 days of sun, and 4 hours of torrential rain, just like you saw on Saturday.
